Ajith 's second heroine ready for Billa 2
Ajtih fans will be delighted to hear that the second female lead for Billa 2 has been confirmed. She is none other than Bruna Abdulla, an Indian model of Brazilian and Arabian origin. She was seen in I hate Love Stories with Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor and also did a sizzling item number for Anubav Sinha's Cash which got her noticed. After that she became a reality TV star with Khatron Ka Khiladi hosted by Akshay Kumar. Now her entry into Tamil cinema couldn't be bigger as she is Ajith's heroine.
It is a dream come true for Bruna and she is happy to be a part of this huge project. The leading lady is Huma Qureshi a Delhi based model and theatre artiste. Looks like Ajith will be romancing two lovely ladies in his next film. Hopefully these two spend some time on their diction!
Vijay's heroine on a new track
Isha Koppikar had become a slave to numerology and changed her name to Eesha Koppikar. Things started happening on the career front and she got her big break in Bollywood with a super hit item number, Khallas in the film Company starring Ajay Devgn and Vivek Oberoi. She got to do a few films before the offers started to dry up. In order to make it in Bollywood, Isha had neglected South cinema, so fans had forgotten about the girl who did Nenjinile with Vijay.
The actress then began focusing on her personal life and married Timmy Narang. After a few years of marital bliss she is now trying to make a comeback. As a first step, she has given up on numerology and changed her name back to Isha Koppikar. And things are happening again on the career front for she has landed a role in Shabri, produced by Ram Gopal Varma. It is an interesting role and Isha plays a crime lord in this film. Good luck to her.
Vishwaroopam begins finally!
Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam begins to roll today. The movie had some starting trouble initially with directors and heroines leaving the project one after the other. But all the problems have been ironed out now. Anushka has been roped in and Kamal is happy as she is already a popular face in the South and this will be the perfect debut for Bollywood as well.
The actress is very busy but she managed to make time for Vishwaroopam with some expert juggling of dates. Anushka has received rave reviews for her performance in DTM and she is looking forward to sinking her teeth into this new project. Shooting begins today in a grand set that has been put up in Old Mahabalipuram road.
Amala Paul's tour plans
Amala Paul's career is proceeding in a hectic manner. The actress will be living out of her suitcase for the next couple of months as she will be zipping across the world.
Bejawada Rowdilu, her Telugu film with Naga Chaitanya will be shot in Dubai and the UK whereas Mupphozudum Un Karpanaigal with Atharva has to be filmed in the United States of America. So Amala Paul will be very busy indeed but she is not complaining because such a lifestyle is the norm for a popular actor in demand.

Mankatha's release date confirmed
There is huge news for Ajith fans. Mankatha release date has been confirmed for August 31st. Ajith's 50th film is all set to make a big splash at the end of this month. Ayngaran International are releasing the film overseas and they have confirmed the date of its international release.
The makers of the film are very confident about the film because the movie has been getting excellent publicity from the day the project was announced. Social networks like Facebook and Twitter proved to be instrumental as every nugget of information about the film has been lapped up by Ajith's devoted fans. The wait has ended and the game will begin soon after it has been cleared by the censors.
Suriya and Karthi get involved in Mankatha!
In a very interesting development this evening, the rights for the Ajith starrer Mankatha have been bought by Studio Green. This comes as a surprise as there was no indication that such a move was being planned. The deal between Cloud Nine, the original producers of Mankatha, and Studio green seems to have happened within the span of a few hours. The reason behind this sudden decision by Cloud Nine Movies to sell the overall rights of their magnum opus to another production house is not yet clear.
What makes things more interesting however is that Studio Green, managed by Gnanavel Raja , is widely seen as the home production company of Suriya and Karthi. All the films produced and distributed by the firm till now have been either Suriya or Karthi starrers. Their decision to leave home turf and get into a big venture as Mankatha also comes as a big surprise.
One thing is certain; with the release of Mankatha under the Studio Green banner, the general impression of it being a Suriya-Karthi run enterprise will take a backseat and it might start to be seen as a production house which promotes quality entertainers. Latest news from the Mankatha camp is that all hands are on deck to ensure an August 31 release.
With such excitement and surprises being generated in the run up to the release, one cannot wait for the actual film to hit screens.
